Purpose and Mission

The LBPHS is a nonprofit mutual benefit corporation organized under the California Nonprofit Public Benefit Law (the “Law”).  The purpose of the LBPHS is to engage in any lawful act or activity for which a corporation may be organized under such law.  The mission of the Police LBPHS is to foster a greater understanding and appreciation of the role the Long Beach Police Department has played in the growth and development of the City of Long Beach.  The LBPHS will accomplish its mission primarily through the creation and operation of the Long Beach Police Museum, which will be dedicated to preserving, restoring, and communicating the rich history of the Long Beach Police Department to many diverse audiences for generations to come.
