The Belmont Shore Care Show

“The Belmont Shore Care Show was a “Breeze” today for our Long Beach Historical Society today! The weather, crowd, old and new friends were so glad to gather at our display booth to enjoy the cool breeze today. Everyone viewed our historical items telling the story of the people of the Long Beach Police Department. So many family members for former officers, civilians, vehicle repair workers and retired personnel came-by to tell the stories of the ones they loved. It was a day of collecting historical stories and telling the history of the Long Beach Police Department which was founded in 1888. Our police department has been around 131 years and going strong! Enjoy the photos of our 1974 Dodge Coronet Police patrol car that we displayed today. Please help “tag” friends you know in our photos and add your own comments and photos. We THANK ALL OF OUR VOLUNTEERS who helped today. Those members of the Long Beach Police Historical Society were Dennis Mahaney, Steve Strichart, Casey Carver, Tim Long, Doug Hara, Jason Campbell and his wife Lucia Campbell. We especially thank our Long Beach Police Historical Society President South Division Commander Mike Lewis who communicated with us and kept us informed of our duties. We all worked well as a team with our president. Thanks Everyone! We will display our vehicles and historical items very soon as long as we can repair them and keep our vehicles running! We thank everyone for our donations to our cause! Long Beach Police Historical Society.”
